What we collect

When you join the collective we store your name, email, organisation, how you are joining, what you want from us, whether your organisation may appear on the public wall, and when you gave consent.

Why

To reply to you and to keep you informed about the collective. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

What is public

Only your organisation and role, and only if you ticked “Show my organisation on the public wall”. Your name and email are never shown.

Where it is kept

On our web host, DreamHost, in a database that is not reachable from the web. Notifications are sent to the founders by email. We do not sell or share your details.

How long

Until you ask us to remove it, or 24 months after our last contact, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing hello@bowtie.vc. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies. Your browser may remember the university name and colour you try in the preview; that stays on your device.
